TDR Difference

Parents, at The Dental Ranch, patients receive the highest level of attention and care always delivered by the hands of board certified pediatric dental surgeons, board certified pediatric anesthesiologists and board certified pediatric nurses. Always. We also recognize that each child is different and therefore parents/guardians play an essential role in our development of individualized treatment plans. The team managing your child’s treatment is as important as any other detail in the treatment plan. There is a clear difference between our team and the teams you might encounter at other clinics. Our difference makes us the most qualified…the best. And your child deserves the best. TDR board certified professionals + parent/guardian insight about the patient = your child’s strongest treatment TEAM.

Board Certified Doctors v. Accredited Doctors

Board Certified:

Pediatric Dentists: American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Certification guaranteeing the doctors meet the standards of excellence necessary to treat pediatric patients surgically.

Pediatric Anesthesiologists: Medical doctors who have completed 9+ years of medical training focusing on a combined specialty of pediatric care and anesthesiology. This is important because sedating a child is different than sedating an adult and you WANT a Board Certified pediatric anesthesiologist on your team.

Pediatric Nurses: Certification guarantees that all nurses are RN level and above who have met the requirements of excellence in pediatric service.

Accredited:

Professionals who have trained at an accredited institution or completed a training program but have never passed a Board Certification exam.

General dentists with two years or less of pediatric surgical training.

With over 40 years of experience in treating pediatric and patients with special needs, our team brings unique knowledge and capabilities to all areas of pediatric dental surgery. Combining TDR’s experience and mission to always do what is best for your child and inclusive planning with the parents/guardians results in a winning collaborative approach that best prepares the patient for surgery at Children’s Health Hospital.

Children’s Health Hospital vs. Surgery Center or Dental Office.

Children’s Health Hospital

(Formerly Children’s Medical Center)

All staff caring for the child are Board Certified Pediatric doctors and nurses.

Consistently one of the Top 5 Pediatric Hospitals in the United States.

Children’s Health is a non-profit medical center whose mission is simply to make life better for children.

Surgery Center or General Dental Office

No guarantee of Board Certified doctors caring for your child.

In place of a doctor with 9+ years of training in Pediatric Anesthesiology, a nurse or practicing general dentist can receive “accredited” training to sedate your child.
